New ONSC Office at the Center for Nonprofits

We recently held our ONSC Board of Directors retreat, and the energy among the group for making good things happen was palpable.

Most exciting is the board's decision for us to have a space at the Center for Nonprofits at St. Mary's (1200 West Walnut in Rogers), http://www.centerfornonprofitsnwa.org/.  The former hospital is now a thriving hub for nonprofits thanks to the Jones Trust, reminiscent of the similar success of the Jones Center in Springdale and the legacy of Harvey and Bernice Jones of Jones Truck Lines.

Our new space will be on the second floor, and will make us part of the (albeit an overused term, but appropriate in this case) synergy among nonprofits and agencies working for the greater good in northwest Arkansas.
Particularly for an organization like ours that the general public doesn't see, drive past or necessarily think of on a daily basis, having such accessibility and visibility will be an outstanding asset.  Supporters will be able to purchase merchandise, parents and grandparents can enroll kids in summer camps and family programs, and we'll have a top notch place to hold board meetings, ONSC Corps gatherings and event committee planning meetings.  Most importantly, we'll have a tangible hub in the business community in a building that attracts donors, volunteers and public interest.

We'll keep you posted on our move-in date (most likely the first week in July), and can't wait to visit with you in our new space, which is all about helping us to a better job in delivering our real work at a special, magical place called Bear Hollow.
